Halloween

Hello All!!

I hope you’re having an excellent week!! Since this is October, and Halloween is just around the corner, I thought I would share my thought on it. I am flabbergasted by the number of Christians who celebrate Halloween or some form of it. It’s an oxymoron to me. Dressing up in bible character costumes does not change what the holiday is about. Everything that we observe or do in this world, has a spiritual root. If I removed all of the apples from an apple tree; and tied oranges around the branches of the tree, would it change the fact that it’s an apple tree? The seed of a tree determines the type of tree it is; as well as the fruit that it will bear; and the season that it will bear the fruit in. If you think that celebrating Halloween is harmless and “just a fun time for the kids,” please check out the following interview with Pastor John Ramirez, a former satanist. He also has a series of books that explain his experience as a satanist, more about Halloween, his testimony; as well as various tactics of the enemy.

I’m all about having fun, especially with and for my kids. I also think that God loves for us to have fun….but this pagan holiday is not what He had in mind. Have an excellent rest of your week and weekend; and please feel free to comment!

  1. I stand with you on this, Halloween is a pagan holiday and its roots are evil. The Bible tells us in Philippians 4: 8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. The Bible is strong against idolatry and these celebration is disobedience to God.
