Declaration & Healthy Living Bit of the Week

Hi Everyone!!

This week’s declaration is based on Romans 8:37-39: I am more than a conqueror through God who loves me. Nothing can separate me from His love.

I’m a bit of a planner; so nearly every Sunday, I write out a meal plan for the week…actually three. My husband likes his chicken, seafood and turkey. My children eat VERY little meat; and I don’t eat any. It’s pretty easy to manage. I can usually make “side” dishes that everyone likes; but no one (except me) likes red quinoa and kale. It is SO very good to me! I mix together sauteed mushrooms and kale, red quinoa and chikpeas. It’s easy to make, takes little time, very filling and it’s delicious (to me)! On these nights, I will usually make chicken, rice, broccoli and yams for my husband; and black beans (which my children love), rice, yams and broccoli for my children. Are there any other moms out there, preparing multiple meals?

Declaration & Healthy Living Bit of the Week

Hi Everyone!

This week’s declaration is based on 1 Peter 5:6 -7: God cares for me and will lift me up in due time.

Have you ever tried bitter melon (aka bitter gourd) tea? It is NOT delicious. It is very bitter; but the taste came be made bearable by adding some honey to it. I’ve known about bitter melon and many of it’s benefits for a couple of years. I had a couple of close friends who dealt with diabetes consume it as a regular part of their diets. All four of them controlled their diabetes by taking bitter melon. I started drinking it just two weeks ago; when one of my sons got a cold. Not only is it beneficial for controlling diabetes, it’s also good for strengthening the immune system, dissolving kidney stones, lowering the bad cholesterol, and losing and maintaining weight among many other benefits. I’ve also noticed that it helps me to control cravings. So, if you’re looking for a more natural way to deal with any of the above ailments that I’ve mentioned, give this tea a try! I’ve actually adapted to the taste of it (with honey); and my kids actually like drinking it too.

February Blessings

Woohooo!! 100 followers!! Thank you to you all! I appreciate you! So it’s March already. February seemed to have gone by quickly; though it was filled with as many blessings as January. My favorite one this past month was when I was cleaning up the kitchen after breakfast, and the Father just made His presence known. It flooded my being and the kitchen. The concentration of love was so strong, that all I could do was weep. It is so precious to me, when God does that. Another blessing (that I almost missed out on) was going to South Carolina with my husband. Since the beginning of the year, I was feeling like it was time for me to start spending more 1-on-1 time with my husband away from home. It was very challenging for me, because we take our kids every where with us and we both LOVE being with them. When my eldest son (7 years) came up to me in the kitchen and said: “Mom, just you and Papa should go somewhere together and leave us with grandma. It’ll be good for just you guys to go without us. Besides you need time away from us; and we need time away from you guys…and grandma’s house is fun!” I was like: Ummm, wow…okay.

So, last week, my husband went out of town to look at expanding the business out to South Carolina. At first we were looking at FL because we wanted to spend our winters in a warm climate; however, it seems as though God had different plans. He and a very good friend of ours flew our airplane down. They left last Saturday; and he and our friend were going to fly the plane back on Wednesday. However, my husband ended up leaving the airplane and taking a commercial flight back home; due to unfavorable weather patterns in a couple of states. We decided on Thursday that we would go down over the weekend to take a look at the potential area that we would spend some of our upcoming winters; as well as to fly our airplane back home. I called my mom; and she was delighted to have the kids spend the entire weekend with her and Papa Jim. When I told the kids, they were SUPER-EXCITED, because in their words: “Grandma is the best!”

I was fine for a couple of moments…but then I realized that I would be leaving my children for TWO whole nights. They’ve stayed one night with Grandma; but my husband and I didn’t leave the state. I started to think, maybe I shouldn’t go; but I pushed through. When we arrived at Grandma and Papa Jim’s house on Friday evening, they were just returning from a day of shopping. They bought all the fruits and foods that the kids enjoy; as well as new games and toys. The grandparents and the kids were SO delighted! They barely even said goodbye. The kids were like: “Bye mommy and papa.” While the grandparents were like: “Have fun, we’ll see you when you get back.” We were like: Alrighty then.” We left there and went out to dinner and had a great time! We got up the next morning and caught our 7:27 am flight out. We toured the town in South Carolina; and I REALLY liked it! Three of the best things about it was the 70 degree temperature, sunshine and NO snow or ice!

Flying from SC

My husband and I flew out on Sunday morning and we enjoyed every minute of  it! I was happy to see my babies; and they were happy to see us…but they wanted to stay at Grandma’s and Papa Jim’s.

Declaration & Healthy Living for the Week

Declaration: I am valuable. (Luke 12:29)

So I’ve decided to change “Declaration & Exercise of the Week,” to “Declaration & Healthy Living of the Week.” The title is a bit longer; but it will continue to include declarations, as well as, exercise, recipes, humor and other things related to living a healthy lifestyle.

I tore two menisci in college; after tearing my ACL in high school. The doctor told me that I would have arthritis by the time that I was forty. Before I could even think about it, I boldly declared: “No I won’t!” Fast forward all of these years later, I’m beyond 40 and arthritis free. Praise YHWH! What I didn’t know at the time was that I would go on a journey of learning how to eat in a way that was best for my body. I became a vegetarian, progressed to vegan, and finally to raw-food vegan. During all of my pregnancies, I returned to meat (chicken and fish); and continued eating it until even after my last pregnancy. Since dropping the meat from my diet, I am feeling SO much better overall. My next thing that I’m going to tackle is my sugar cravings. It is SO bad for us. I knew it in my head; but I just ignored. I felt a tug in my heart that it was time to get back on track with my eating habits; so I’m yielding to obedience.

My husband and I were talking a couple days ago after he cleaned his home office. To give you a little background. He is an extremely neat and organized person; but for a while, his home office was disorganized. His other offices and car were still in immaculate condition; so I wondered why; but never said anything about it. He told me that the Holy Spirit revealed to him why this one place in his life was out of order. A deal that he was making fell through while he was in the home office; and it brought disordered thinking for him. God told him to clean it up; and so he did.

I got to thinking about the disordered places in my life. I could see that it was my diet. I’ve always been a disciplined person; but after my last baby; I started to feel a bit overwhelmed. I wasn’t sure how homeschool was going to workout. I didn’t know what the new morning and night time routines would look like. I didn’t know what my new sleep routine would be. I just had a lot of unknowns. By YHWH’s grace, we got into a new routine. Homeschool worked itself out. I adjusted to my new sleep routine.  However, when I did meal planning; I only did it for the way that my husband eats; and not the way that I ate. So without a plan, I was just eating what was there. I began noticing that I wasn’t feeling as well as I had always felt. So, it was time to make a change. I’m grateful to the Holy Spirit for loving me so much, to remind me of my value. Yeshua died for me to have excellent health. That’s a hefty price to pay; but it was well worth it to Him.

What’s an area of your life that the Father is nudging you to change or improve?  Below is a picture of one of my favorite simple salads. It’s made up of spinach, cucumber, tomato, avocado and raisins. Have an excellent rest of your week!

I stand for the Righteousness of the Most High

Abortion – the deliberate termination of a human pregnancy, most often performed during the first 28 weeks of pregnancy.

Termination – the deliberate termination of a human pregnancy, most often performed during the first 28 weeks of pregnancy.

Murder – the unlawful premeditated killing of one human being by another.

Homicide – the deliberate and unlawful killing of one person by another; murder.

Abort – to cause something to stop or fail before it begins or before it’s complete (Cambridge Dictionary)

I googled the above words this morning; because I believe I heard YHWH (God) say: Abortion is a spirit. With abortion came not only the death of babies; but also the death of destinies. Everything that we do has ramifications. It doesn’t only affect one thing or person. It affects households, cities, nations and generations. Abortion is a spirit of murder and sacrifice that seeks to abort (or stop) the performance of YHWH’s will in the earth. It was around during the time of Nimrod and baby Abraham, Pharaoh and baby Moses, as well as Herod and baby Yeshua (Jesus).  All of these mass murders became lawful; because of the fear of those in leadership. None of the leaders wanted their leadership challenged or overthrown. Look at the impact that Abraham, Moses and Yeshua made in the lives of the people in the earth during their time; and even now, that is still affecting people this very day. People were able to live a life of freedom and reach their destinies, because of the birth and lives of Abraham, Moses and Yeshua.

The enemy will ALWAYS try to hinder or block the will of YHWH; but YHWH has given the church (the people who understand His identity; as well as their own) power over all power and plans of the enemy.  He said in Matthew 16: 18 &19 (AMP) – And I say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church; and the gates of Hades (death) will not overpower it [by preventing the resurrection of the Christ]. 19 I will give you the keys (authority) of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you bind [forbid, declare to be improper and unlawful] on earth will have [already] been bound in heaven, and whatever you loose [permit, declare lawful] on earth will have [already] been loosed in heaven.”

So we are assured by Yeshua that we (the church):

  1. Cannot be overpowered
  2. Are in possession of authority of the kingdom of heaven
  3. Have the ability to forbid and declare things improper and unlawful on earth; which are already improper and and unlawful in heaven
  4.  Permit and declare lawful, things on earth that are already lawful in heaven.

The church is very powerful. It’s time for us to walk in the power ensured to us by Yeshua. There should be a major distinction between the church; and the world. There should be no resemblance of the people of YHWH, to those who are not of YHWH. Just as there is no resemblance between YHWH and satan; there should be none between their children. In John 8:44 (NIV), Yeshua said: You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. In verse 47, He said:  Whoever belongs to God hears what God says. YHWH and satan are not saying the same thing. With this in mind, understand that YHWH is all about life. Abortion is about death.  Deuteronomy 30:19 (NIV) says: This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live 20 and that you may love the Lord your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the Lord is your life, and he will give you many years in the land he swore to give to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. The last verse that I have in support of choosing the will of YHWH is: Proverbs 6:16 & 17 (MSG): Here are six things God hates,
and one more that he loathes with a passion:eyes that are arrogant, a tongue that lies,
hands that murder the innocent.

This post is not intended to condemn anyone. If you’ve ever had an abortion, YHWH’s grace is more than enough. This post is to encourage YHWH’s people to align with Him for His will to be brought about in the earth. We are here to express His goodness in the earth; and to be a blessing to the people. YHWH has great plans for all of us (Jeremiah 29:11). Let’s humble ourselves and seek Him. His heart’s desire is to bless our nations. I took it personally when the abortion bill was passed in my state (NY) last year. It grieved me at the core of my being. I cried out to YHWH on behalf of the babies; and I have been in prayer about it ever since. I know that YHWH hears my prayers; and I fully expect for abortion to be abolished in this nation. I also believe that people will grasp their true identities in Messiah (Christ) and reach their destinies. Who are the other believers who are using their authority and standing up for the righteousness of YHWH in our nation (and the earth)? Who sees through the lies of the enemy and is boldly declaring Abortion is unlawful and I will no longer tolerate it! Righteousness WILL prevail!

Where do you live?

Reserved parking

As I was sitting outside of the Music Academy yesterday, waiting for my son’s piano lesson to end, my attention was drawn to the Reserved Parking sign above. I thought about a prophecy that the Father had given to my husband and me more than a few years ago. What God said that He would do in our lives took a lot of faith. I remember driving in our downtown area one day; and I said to God: How can I believe you for that, when I can’t even believe for a parking space? It was at that moment that I knew that that would be my starting point for building and exercising my faith in His abilities. I had started to believe God for close parking spaces wherever I went. I wasn’t being lazy. I just had a bunch of small kids; so closer was better in my line of thinking. Every where I would go, I began to get close parking spaces. It didn’t matter if the place was packed. There was nearly ALWAYS a close parking space for me. It happened so regularly that other moms who went to the same programs that I took my children to, expected me to always be parked close.

As I focused on this sign, I began to see that because I am a citizen (or tenant) of the Kingdom of Heaven, there is  ALWAYS a reserved parking space for me wherever I go. Earlier this week, I was thinking about how there have been a number of  powerful and ruling  kingdoms in the earth that have come and gone; but the Kingdom of Heaven, introduced to us by Yeshua, is the most powerful kingdom and it will forever stand (Daniel 2:44). Although our physical bodies live on the earth, our spirit man is seated in heavenly places with Yeshua Messiah (Ephesians 2:6). As people of God, it is of great benefit to live from and by our spirit; rather than by our physical senses. Remember that we are spirits with souls, that live in a body; which means we should be living from the inside out; and not the outside in.
